The 2019 edition of Alcubierre was about the reenactment of the siege of Tobruk by the Afrika Korps in 1941 and held by the 8th Army and the 1943 Battle of Troina (Sicily). The first took place in the Orwell trench system outside Alcubierre with the authorization of the town council. The second took place in Alcubierre itself.Saturday was thus a great moment and then came Sunday with a downpour totally unexpected in August who forced us to cancel the events for that day. The organization is very grateful to the participants who came and braved last minute problems with authorizations.
